Naivedyam Mantram

नैवेद्यं मंत्र 

As a part of the puja ritual, we offer prasad/ naivedyam to God. While offering the naivedyam, the following mantra should be recited:

ॐ  भूर्भु -वस्सुवः तत्सवितुर वरेण्यम् 
भर्गो-देवस्य धीमहि धियो-योनः प्रचोदयात्

(Sprinkle water with flower on the naivedyam in clock-wise direction while reciting the following mantra)

सत्यम वर्तेन परिशिंचियामी (during day-time, before sunset)
रुतम त्वा सत्येन परिशिंचियामी (during night-time, after sunset)

अमृतमस्तु अमृतो पस्तरणमसि

(Show the naivedyam to God 5 times while reciting the following mantra)

ॐ प्राणाय  स्वः 

ॐ अपानाय स्वः

ॐ व्यानाय स्वः

ॐ उदानाय स्वः

ॐ समानाय स्वः

____ देवी/देवताभ्यो नमः

नारिकेला (coconut)/ कदलीफला (banana)/ काश्मीरफला (apple)/ क्षीरम् (milk)/ क्षीरान्नम् (paayasam/ kheer)/ चित्रान्नम (pulihora/ tamarind or lemon rice)/ कलकंदा (sugar candy)/ गूढशकला (jaggery)   नैवेद्यं समर्पयामि

Example :

श्री लक्ष्मी-वेंकटेश्वर देवताभ्यो नमः 

नारिकेला/कदलीफला/क्षीरम् नैवेद्यं समर्पयामि

Sprinkle water in anti-clockwise direction around the naivedyam with the following mantra

अमृतापि धानमसि

उत्तरा-पोषनं समर्पयामि

Sprinkle water on the deity with flower chanting the following mantra

मध्ये-मध्ये पानीयं समर्पयामि

हस्तौ-प्रक्षालयामि, पादौ-प्रक्षालयामि

मुखे शुध्द-आचमन्यम समर्पयामि।
